Since last summer we have started the Hauser Garden project. At over 1721 meters above sea level, we grow salads and vegetables in Samedan and process the harvest for enjoyable meals in the Hauser Restaurant.

After a successful first year of gardening, with a harvest of over 330 kg of vegetables from Samedan and almost 400 kg of tomatoes from Sils i.D., the goals for this year are high. The Hauser Garden team is now being maintained by three gardeners working 50% of the time. We have thus strengthened the team and are starting the new season with a concentrated load of know-how. The "Market Gardening / No Till" concept aims to optimize cultivation. Organic vegetables are produced using simple techniques and high area efficiency. True to the motto "Grow better - not bigger!" We have already started the initial work. This includes planning the beds: what do we grow? Which vegetables go where and when can they be harvested? Tidying up, preparing the field and many other little things. We are definitely motivated and ready for warmer days and the starting signal for the second season of our heart project, the Hauser Garden!

From the end of June you can look forward to fresh lamb's lettuce, various vegetables such as spring cabbage, chard and spinach! 😊
